Civil Duty

As a member of the online community, I think I must make my opinions known. Kudos to Shane Wright of recent Google Video lore. He posted a resume of himself on their video database. Check it out. First off, many ppl out there have been giving this guy a terrible rap...but wait, I mean, this guy is no actor, he's not some genuis or massive innovator...but more importantly he is a guy just like the rest of us. He makes this fun video...why not? I really don't think he is basing his next meal on getting a job from Google for it...but why not put it out there? I mean, I know that I am probably not going to change the world by complaining about it here...but why not? That is sort of the mentality of the grassroots web movement. Though only 4 ppl will probably read this, on the web it is open to all, who knows how far any of this could go...THAT is the point of the web. As such, if an amametur wants to make a fun video about him and google and share it with the world, power to him. I mean, sure, he might not get the job or change the world, but he shared a fun piece he put together with the rest of the world. That is the internet. That is the world wide Web.

While speaking of the web...download the new firefox that was released today www.getfirefox.com its firefox 1.5...pretty rad....

'O Veil of Nature

I extend my eyes, and reach deeply, grasping, panting, shrinking to the tunes and vibrations of our Earth; to the deep cycles, massive structures and intricate vistas, reminding me that though humanity might be lost, still there is nature which strives through the darkness and oppression, like a desperate blade of grass braking its way through the cold, hard concrete. To that world I venture forth. . . .

I LOVE

i said....I LOVE MY HAT :) Its just so green...i guess it reminds me of something ;)

Murder

How does it happen? One of my biggest epiphonies (?) of this past year (i have one of these each year), is that there is this fundamental thread of life that connects everything in it. This means that the president is a regular person, like me. This means that being aboard the International Space Station is something I can relate w/. Yet, this also means that horrific murder and ethnic "cleansing" like what happened in Kosovo or the macheties of Rwanda is as real as any experience I have had. Travel has really helped formulate this understanding. Yet it is rather traumatic to realize that I am who killed, I am the raper, the murder, the explorer, the surgeon, the torturer, the musician and poet. All are in me, all I am with. It scares me, and after watching a movie on some of the atrocities of Kosovo, I feel like taking a deep bath and scrubbing my humanity from my skin. What does this thing of being human really mean anyway?

((btw, I am listening to Lifehouse, a rather nice band of which i just bought their new self-titled ablum))

This is the future talking:

Is this really fair?

Cell Phones and such things

Well, about 2 minutes ago my family just ordered a family plan cell phone package. I wonder what life will be like now?

That and when I went into the garage i found a very large black window spider on a web between the car and some boxes, then by the door i saw another one scrambling...man...i am starting to feel like i live in australia!!!

Eigenvalues and Markov Chains

In a world of incredible complexity...where approaching an understanding of everything seems beyond impossible, why then do we choose to create a world, a world called mathematics, in which we create laws which can never be broken, yet with values that can never be known, only guessed at. This world, how does it interact w/ that one? Do we have laws which are ubiquitous yet questions which can only be guessed at (religion, philosophy?). As there is number theory...mabye we need a existential theory; a theory examining the nuances and relationships between life, lives, and variables (conditions). What do you think?

Oh, In case you were wondering...

I am actually not working. What I am really doing is concentrating really hard to type on this weird QWERTY keyboard. However, as it is late, I shall progress to my habitual question of the blog. What do you do that you have to concentrate on that comes easily to most ppl?

It's a Grind

Well, here I shall continue working on the process we call homework. Yet, now I can do it with the assistance of lemongrass tea. I sure do hope I can get a lot of work done. Let's hope so. Do you guys consider yourselves as getting a lot done?

This Is My first Post(?)

Well, I guess right now, in a caffienated state of stomach turbulance...I have created my first impression upon the sands of the blogger universe. How does this feel?....Any suggestions???
